There are so many gym Santa Monica options, from the big chains to the smaller boutique spots, and I honestly don’t know which way to go. My main concern is balancing cost, crowd levels, and amenities. For example, I like a gym with a decent weightlifting area, but I also wouldn’t mind a few good classes thrown in. I tried one gym already, but it was packed during peak hours and I spent more time waiting for equipment than working out. So, for anyone who trains in Santa Monica: What’s your go-to gym and why? Do you think it’s better to go budget-friendly with a large chain or invest in a boutique spot for the experience?
