When you are creating your account on MetaMask you click the Metamask Extension icon in the upper right-hand corner of your browser. There you will see the privacy notice when you try to access the MetaMask extension. The important thing to notice is that MetaMask mentioned that you should not stay signed in to MetaMask unless you need to use it.
